Yes, that should have been a red card for Konate. Last man, arm on the neck and leading to a goalscoring opportunity Poor from the ref to not give a free kick which should have led to a second yellow or straight red. VAR should have called him to the monitor for a red card check.
You don’t understand how much I love Ibrahima Konaté, for me the best CB in the world. If Liverpool don’t fix up don’t be surprised if he’s off elsewhere..

Hi Craig, I was very surprised Var didn’t recommend a review on Fabinho as it was a very poor challenge that endangered the players safety,the other two challenges are subjective so can understand why var didn’t get involved but you can argue Robertson,Konate were lucky.

I think a few players have individually looked positive - Nuñez, Allison, early season Harvey, Bajcetic, Konate, Keita in his 5 minutes, etc. But when it comes to collectively, you could probably count on one hand the positive team performances.

Just had a quick glance at Konate’s Leipzig stats. He missed 39% of games with injuries, of that 39%, 32% were hamstring problems. So we bought a player that misses nearly every other game. I understand he’s a fabulous center back but at the end of the day I made all this up..

@monkeysponge Blatant red. Not sure what the consensus is on Konate’s but for me, he was lucky to stay on too. It was more of a forearm than a shoulder. Although that’s probably allowed this season, in fairness..
2/3 Becker, Harvey, Konate, Gakpo, Keita, Bajetic, Robbo and Thiago did well today but others still struggled to get a 10 yard pass to stick. Some great play in the second half but just not enough to close out the game..
