Jonathan Majors is expected to play Dennis Rodman in an upcoming movie about the former basketball star’s 48 hours spent in Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals. Deadline reports Majors, known for “Lovecraft Country,” “Da 5 Bloods” and upcoming roles in “Creed III” and “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” is in talks to explore Rodman’s wild trip that was recently featured in “The Last Dance” about Michael Jordan’s last NBA championship with the Chicago Bulls. VanDina, who wrote “The Binge” and directed “The Binge 2: It’s a Wonderful Binge″ for American High in Syracuse, wrote the script for “48 Hours in Vegas”: “Here we go!!! When I wrote this script in 2020 while I was in a deep Covid fever daze I never thought anyone would buy the script let alone think we’d get people as incredible as Lord and Miller and Jonathan Majors involved,” he wrote on Instagram, referencing producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller. No word yet on who might play Jordan, Phil Jackson or other figures involved.
