Sasol In News: The Most Popular Tweets | South Africa

Nothing shocks me any I was truly shocked when I saw the price of Sasol this another 12% to R242 per share. Was R600 5 years ago. Remains a favorite of many local fund managers. That Amaglug-glug is the sound of your portfolio going down the drain..

Sasol: Once prices plummet like this, a bottom is impossible to pick, but I will not consider Sasol before R230 unless there is a clear turn..

Sasol: Very poor. Not just the delay in results for a full month, but announcing this 1 day before results were due. Although they reiterate that the LCCP cost guidance remains, presumably there is a risk of further write-downs and possibly a cut in the dividend..

Sasol had a very good and cheap opportunity to develop Mafutha in Steenbokpan (Lephalale). They postured against gov and took their money ($9bn in 2008) and went to the US. The US stung them. I feel nothing for this failure..

What South Africa really needs are great brands - not a focus on jobs. The biggest brands in the country: Sasol, ABSA, MTN, FNB etc all sell commodities rather than creating anything unique of value. If you want economic growth - build brands..

Sasol share price back to where it was in 2009!! Investing on JSE requires hard prayers 🙏.

Do not buy and hold stocks with declining 200-day moving averages. There will be times you make money but you are likely to hold the bombs that can do serious damage to your portfolio. See Sasol and my pinned tweet..

@WayneMcCurrie The Lake Charles project has a very huge potential to be a money spinner for I so wish they can overcome whatever challenges they are encountering.

Sasol total disaster again. USA operations review has brought up some as yet undefined problems and they have had to postpone issuing results ( was monday) by a month . Share down 12%.

@newsforyouSA If Black people invested in Sasol Inzalo in 2008 at R366 a share any profits made were through special dividends . Will we ever see a R500 Sasol price? Like MTN turned out to be a dud in the long run. MTN lost 2 million months ago said they were cheats. Right on!.

Sasol: Monthly charts provide an alternative perspective as a way to determine long term technical risk. The multi-year head & shoulder formation identified at R433 in Nov-2018 continues to play out as we print R241 on the back delayed results, LCCP etc..

@whatsappbroker Dozens of SA’s biggest companies – including Old Mutual, Sasol and Pick n Pay – have hit new lows. Professional investors think these shares may be bargains..

@BaragwanathBiz Every week there is an implosion on the JSE. Many of these are self-inflicted. Almost everyone is invested in Sasol via their Pension Funds. No accountability and nobodies fault - seems to be the norm..
