I didn’t want to get the vaccine. We don’t know the long term effects. If you have the vaccine you can still catch COVID. The NFL & NFLPA made getting the vaccine a competitive advantage. I just got my vaccine because I don’t want to hinder my team, idk how I feel about that🤷🏾‍♂️.

@incredelman11 The LOSER NFLPA wants them sticking needles in black people! Do we forget about the Luigi Syphilis Experiments!!

@DMCskillz @NFLPA I do wear a mask AND got vaccinated because that’s what normal responsible people do

This. For all the crappy CBA deals the NFLPA has handed the players that the players have swallowed, this is their line in the sand? Really??

@_SmashAmos31 Man the NFLPA sucks. Blows my mind how often they come out on bottom in every single negotiation.

For everyone who wondered what the NFLPA’s response to today’s memo was going to be (or those who were so sure they wouldn’t let it stand or it was “illegal”), here ya go:

NFLPA has no issue with players not being paid in event of forfeited games; the union has explained to its players that the same rule applied in 2020.

@McCannSportsLaw That the NFLPA wasn’t mentioned was my only question, too, but it would make no sense for the NFL to released it alone. (And yes, the NBA and NBAPA would have released in tandem.)

@Outkick The @NFLPA Sucks and is probably the worse players association in all of professional sports

If the @NFLPA had any balls, they would say players will not comply with league-required testing as this will most likely cost their members game checks.

@JJMaples55_MST ive been saying this about the You really drawing the line on COVID vaccinations lol HA HA HA .. I got plenty of things that should be higher priorities lol lol

I think there’s room for reasonable discussion on whether the NFLPA should allow for a vaccine mandate for players. But aside from that, the league and union docs have gone above and beyond to give each player and their family the facts on vaccines if they ask.

The NFLPA needs to step the fuck up and go to bat for their players instead of acting as gentle resistance to the owners for once. Seriously, at what fucking point do the players just say “Fuck it” and make a new PA that will actually fight for them?

@TomPelissero Should we expect a challenge to that from the players/NFLPA, or is that something clearly within the league’s power to do?

@IuRgayLoLI No, because there’s language in the CBA that allows the NFLPA to negotiate with the NFL with a situation like Covid arises. The union, representing the players, decided the NFL’s plan is okay. If a player has an issue with current protocols, that’s on their union and not the NFL.

@PabloTorre Except Britain already admitted 40% of their current COVID hospitalizations are DOUBLE VACCINATED patients. Its almost like EVERYONE can still catch it. You know, like the flu shot chasing its ass every year. @NFLPA needs to go to war and file lawsuit NOW.

@JefePicks Talk about trying to coerce the players union @NFLPA . But if a breakout and they’re vaxed, then what?

@SpudKelly @NFLPA this is the same reason you left Hit the Ice. Of course replace COVID with tanning bed appointment

@Roycethewildman @CoolBlonde21 As an attorney that’s represented NFL Players in NFLPA CBA I don’t think this threat will succeed if challenged in such arbitration by the NFLPA or one/more

I may have missed it but did the NFLPA have to sign off on anything that was sent out by the NFL today or was the NFL just able to do it on their own?

@jalenramsey you need to get involved with the NFLPA and put a stop to this. The players need to come together and stand up to this. Boycott the season until they decide to fix this bullshit

Also rolling out these new rules less than a week before training camp is a scumbag move that gives the nflpa almost no time to put together a case and get an injunction from the courts.

1. The NFLPA agreed to this? 2. Private company can do what it wants. Good on NFL. 3. Lol @ Cole Beasley 4. This is about money. Duh.

The @NFLPA is the weakest union in all sports. Maybe the weakest Union in all unions. 🤔

Neither team gets paid?! Just call the NFLPA asphalt, ‘cause it keeps getting steamrolled.

Get ready to hear released due to Conduct Detrimental to the team. I would have to imagine the NFLPA will have to step in and get some to get some perimeters locked in to protect the players from such action.

@TommyAzzurri @ArtMorelli This is going to cause pandemonium between the NFLPA and the teams.

@FrancisMA21 I think the NFL is pretty well insulated from a lawsuit re: lack of pay if the game isn’t played. It also seems like the NFLPA is on board. I don’t think FDA approval (which will likely happen early this fall before the NFL kicks off regular season games) is relevant.

@texastrevor They could unless NFLPA agreed to this arrangement. It becomes a much less interesting legal issue if the union signed off.

I know the NFLPA is fake but how can you justify both teams not getting paid
