@The_Poolshark EA is gonna do whatever they want to do with IP they own. They decided to remake Dead Space so you might as well get in on it and make sure they do the game justice. All the former Visceral folks are gonna have all sorts of mixed feelings, it just is what it is. Wish Motive luck!
@JohnFisGoat They are the reason that EA thinks single player games aren’t worth investing in. They are why Visceral died.

@The_Poolshark Motive has a stellar crew. Definitely will never undo the pain of Visceral’s closing, but I’ve got faith they’ll do it justice.
I stepped onto the boditrax at the gym today to see what damage #longcovid has done to some of my metrics and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve lost 6KG, have the metabolism of someone 14yrs younger and now have much better BMI, visceral fat and muscle to fat ratio readings. WTF!

Clearly EA has been looking at those Resident Evil remakes and stroking their chins thoughtfully. The difference is, Capcom is still around and Visceral is not.
+ points: there’s something quite visceral about it. you can really tell that some of the biological parts eg the arms have just been ripped off and replaced without an attempt to replicate their original image
I am excited but I remember how EA did Visceral Games dirty, so-
Dead Space with these next-gen graphics is gonna be INSANE. Kinda bittersweet though knowing that none of the folks from Visceral were involved.
I’m a pretty cynical guy, but even I am not cynical enough to not at least give Motive a chance when it comes to this Dead Space remake. A lot of people still haven’t accepted that Visceral is fucking dead, and the people who worked there are now making a spiritual successor.
Man, this tears me in half. Love this franchise, hate how EA tossed Visceral and will continue to make money off their work.
@MicaliBruno Gostava muito da solução que a Visceral usava pra maquiar as telas de loading. Entrar nos dutos de ar ouvindo o barulho dos Necromorphs aumentava muito a tensão. Espero que a galera da Motive seja criativa com a função dos loadings rápidos da nova geração.

this drowning image is getting stronger. or atleast, the visceral feeling it creates. deep hunger or deep thirst also fits. thirsty for connection -> no energy -> cannot get things that will soothe my thirst

No he visto lo de EA, con lo cual no he visto lo de Dead Space todavía. Pero algo tengo que decir y es que no hacía falta remake de ese juego, mucho menos que lo toque alguien que no sea Visceral Games, los cuales ya ni existen.

This looks good but like, I still feel iffy about this since EA killed Visceral Games back in 2017 and this just feels like they want more money from this series.
I’m not as against remakes as much as other people I know but nothing about the Dead Space revival is getting me hyped, I can only see corporate slime and fuckery from it considering the circumstances of what happened with Visceral Games
Oh right, we can just wait for the game made by the former Visceral devs instead
